Desert Meadows is a 158-unit townhome development. Wieland Acoustics’ noise study utilized traffic data for the adjacent streets in order to predict future community noise equivalent level (CNEL) noise exposures at the project site. Based on architectural plans, the noise reduction provided by the buildings was calculated and the average interior noise levels were assessed as required by the City of Hesperia and the State of California. Recommendations, including sound-rated windows and specified exterior wall constructions, were provided for compliance with the City and State interior noise standards for multi-family residential developments.
