"We have used your firm on both our initial C.U.P. submission and our application for the expanded site. In both cases, Wieland Acoustics was responsive, professional and performed as requested. I would highly recommend Wieland to anyone who inquires."
– Mr. Phil Hitch, Director of Finance, Pacific Ridge School
Located on a 7.3 acre site within the Bressi Ranch community, Pacific Ridge School is an independent, college-preparatory, secondary school serving Coastal North San Diego County. The schools mission: “In a community that fosters academic excellence, ethical responsibility and global engagement, Pacific Ridge School prepares students for college and purposeful life.”
Prior to construction, Wieland Acoustics provided an acoustical evaluation of the school’s Founding Site plan, which included: approximately 23,800 square feet of classrooms and administration space; a covered courtyard dining area; an approximately 60,000 square foot soccer/lacrosse field; tennis courts and a basketball/volleyball court; student garden areas; a 97 space parking lot; and a shared private access road.
Traffic noise modeling was conducted to predict future traffic noise exposures at the school and potential impacts of aircraft noise were considered. Analysis was also conducted of the off-site noise levels that would result from the construction and operation of the Founding Site plan. Noise levels were assessed relative to the City’s exterior and interior noise standards and, where necessary, recommendations were provided for compliance with the standards.
Pacific Ridge School opened to 7th and 9th grades in fall of 2007 and the student body will continue to grow through 2010, adding grades 8, 10, 11 and 12 as new students enroll and existing students progress.
