Wieland Acoustics provided an environmental noise study to assess potential impacts according to CEQA requirements. Noise monitoring was conducted to establish existing conditions and applicable noise standards were reviewed in order to develop thresholds of significance for potential noise impacts.
The study considered the potential impacts of construction noise and operational noise sources including emergency vehicles, loading dock activities, mechanical equipment, and parking lot activities.
Where potentially significant impacts were identified, mitigation measures were recommended, including procuring quiet mechanical equipment, controlling loading dock activity, and directing emergency vehicles and delivery trucks away from residential areas.
